Background & Experience

I began my practice at Foley Hoag LLP as an Associate in its Litigation Department. There, my practice focused on business and commercial disputes, white-collar crime and government investigations, and advising clients through international sanctions compliance and internal investigations. I also delivered over 1,200 hours of pro bono legal services to low-income and non-profit clients—representing survivors of torture, wrongly-convicted prisoners, tenants facing eviction, and others seeking safety, justice, and accountability. My practice spanned state and federal courts; public litigation and private arbitration; pre-litigation, trial-court work, and appeals in Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, New York, Florida, and North Carolina. Now, I bring that experience to the public interest sector.

Before entering legal practice, I worked as a creative writer. I started by writing short stories, storyboards, and scripts for independent video game developer Thinking Bottle Corp. When my primary project at Thinking Bottle moved to Clarity Games, I went with it and worked with an expanded team as Lead Writer: supervising assistant writers and coordinating with other departments remotely based in Germany and Latin America.

I hold a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where I earned the Morgan & Helen Chu Prize for the highest academic performance among graduating students in my final year. I also hold a Certificate in Transnational Law from the University of Geneva and a dual B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science cum laude from Pennsylvania State University.
